Joomla's htaccess already does thatUgh, dealing with that /index.php issue in URLs is such a headache, right? I ran into the exact same problem a while back. My solution? I fiddled with the .htaccess file, setting up a redirect to change /index.php to just /. It cleaned up the URLs beautifully and really helped with making the site more SEO-friendly.
